California Scholarship Confederation

School Program / Club
The California Scholarship Federation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to recognize and encourage academic achievement and community service among middle and high school students in California.

Eligible students become members by submitting applications based on their report card grades. Membership is for one semester, and membership drives are held each semester within established periods dictated by the State bylaws.

Youth Center
The CSC Youth Center provides an array of workshops and activities. They center mainly on preparing our community’s youth both for higher education, for entering the workforce and for community involvement. Current CSC Youth Center programs include: academic tutoring, volunteer opportunity, pre-employment workshop, college preparation and leadership development.
Lincoln Heights Tutorial Program

The Lincoln Heights Tutorial Program serves over 1,100 Hispanic & Asian children and teens, grades K-12th. LHTP’s vision is to promote and empower urban youth and children to become community role models, and to go onto college. Our emphasis is on leadership development & training, education, community service, mentorship, work experience, and college prep.
Los Angeles Central Library

Library Volunteers
The Los Angeles Public Library is proud to host over 2,600 teens as volunteers every year at our 73 locations. Opportunities vary at different locations. Contact the Young Adult Librarian or Senior Librarian at your nearest library about getting involved!
Future Latino Leaders Law Camp  IN Washington, DC

Nine-day Program
The Future Latino Leaders Law Camp is a nine-day program run by the HNBF in Washington, DC and provides selected Latino high school students with the opportunity to learn more about the legal profession. Established by the HNBF in 2005, the Law Camp offers students the chance to come to DC and learn more about the college application process, meet influential Latino leaders, and tour national monuments and various government agencies.
Youth Leadership Institute

Conference
YLI is a four-day, overnight, college empowerment conference for Latino high school juniors held at three top universities across the US. This highly selective program is designed to give young leaders the practical tools they need to successfully apply to top universities, have full access to scholarship and financial aid opportunities, and set a course for academic and career success. Attendees will enhance their leadership abilities and expand their professional networks by participating in college and career workshops, living on a college campus, and interacting with college students and professionals who serve as their mentors.
